Who we are

K&M Handling LLC is a family-run freight and handling business specializing in the flower industry, with over 20 years of experience since our founding in 2001.

Our Journey

We began by partnering with a single Italian flower company that needed logistics support in the USA. Initially, we subleased pallet space in a warehouse near the airport. However, after just one year of sales, we successfully integrated three additional farms, allowing us to secure a dedicated warehouse for our operations.

Since then, we have grown to serve over 50 customers across South  America and Europe. Our commitment to hard work and dedication has earned us a trusted reputation in the industry.

Initially focused on European flowers arriving in Miami, we recognized significant opportunities in the South American market after participating in various flower shows.

This insight led us to expand our services to Colombia, introducing consolidation services that connect Colombian farms with customers in the USA.

We also established a complete line of production in Miami, enabling us to offer wet packing services for supermarkets and reship flowers throughout the states.

In 2016, we launched our sister company, K&M Handling Colombia S.A., which has allowed us to enhance our operations in South America. In 2017, we expanded our services to include sea freight transportation, accommodating the needs of the floral industry.

In 2022, we took a significant step forward by purchasing our own warehouse, which features 14 stations for precooling, 8 loading doors, and over 30,000 square feet of cooled space.

This facility enhances our capabilities and ensures that we can meet the growing demands of our customers effectively.

Understanding that handling was just one part of the business, we also combined our handling and freight services, enabling us to compete effectively with larger freight companies and offer our customers the best rates through direct negotiations with airlines.
